Golden Red Premium Potatoes

1. Preheat oven to 450-degrees F.

2. Wash and slice potatoes to desired size.

3. Toss lightly in preferred cooking oil, season generously with salt and pepper or desired spice blend.

4. Space out evenly on a flat baking pan/tray/sheet.

5. Roast potatoes with the rack placed in the top third of the oven for 25-35 minutes, depending on desired darkness.

Try this:

Serve hot as a side or top with chili, salsa, aioli, fried eggs or any number of other garnishes for a delicious entrée!

Boiled

Golden Red Premium Potatoes

Terrific for potato salads, garnishing soups, stews or garden salads.

1. To boil, submerge washed, skin-on, uncut potatoes in cool, unseasoned water and place over high heat until the water begins to boil.

2. Once boiling, reduce heat to a steady simmer and cook potatoes until tender enough that a fork easily slides into the center-most flesh.

3. Smaller potatoes take 20-25 minutes while larger potatoes may take up to 35 minutes.

4. When fork tender, drain water and allow to cool to touch before preparing.

5. Once cooked, potatoes may be cut or chopped as needed depending on the application.

Try this:

Dip in butter and salt or a cream dip for a snack. Can be crushed, seasoned and pan-fried to make smashed potatoes. Can be served hot or cold.

Fried

Golden Red Premium Potatoes

1. Preheat frying oil (vegetable or peanut) to 350-degrees.

2. Prepare potatoes by washing then cutting them into 1-inch wedges.

3. Fry the potatoes until softened and golden brown, about 5-8 minutes.

4. Remove potatoes from oil and set aside to drain.

Try this:

Serve with coarse salt and malt vinegar or load with toppings like queso or bacon and sour cream for fun “loaded fries” dishes.
