Ross Chastain Teams Up with Farmerās Promise & DGM Racing
LAKE WALES, Fla., ā DGM Racing is proud to announce a partnership for the No. 92 Chevrolet Camaro with Farmerās Promise and driver Ross Chastain. This weekend Chastain will pilot DGM Racingās No. 92 NASCAR Xfinity (NXS) car in the Pennzoil 150 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, on July 30 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
As a NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Championship contender, Chastain is currently sitting second in the NCS driver standings. In the 2022 season, he has claimed two wins, 10 Top-5s and 14 Top-10s. In addition to his impressive Cup season, Chastain is a NXS veteran with 192 NXS starts, including 21 Top-5s and 47 Top-10s.
Chastainās last NXS start was earlier this year with DGM Racing at Circuit of the Americas. Together, Chastain and DGM Racing finished the Pit Boss 250 17th, after qualifying 2nd (DGM Racingās best qualifying position to date) and leading 14 of the 46 laps. The following day he claimed his first NASCAR Cup Series win.

Potato Market Update
Russet potato inventories are at an all-time low. Every major shipping area is reaching the end of its supply. The industry expects relief to come around mid-August. Small amounts of new crop russet potatoes will be available in New Mexico, Kansas and Washington next week, but nothing significant until mid-August. Pricing continues to be very strong in all shipping areas.
The week of August 8, growers in Minnesota and Wisconsin, along with Texas, California, Washington, North Carolina and Virginia, will be shipping a new crop of red potatoes with limited supplies.
New crop yellow potatoes will be available from growers in New Mexico and Wisconsin beginning next week. Yellow potatoes are available throughout many shipping areas, including California, Texas, New Mexico, Washington and Virginia. Pricing is very steady.
New Crop white potatoes are available in many different shipping areas. Pricing is firm.
Very few fingerling potatoes are available. What is available is coming out of California, Texas and North Carolina, but in a limited way. Pricing is above average.
Onion Market Update
Overall, onion supply is good.Ā Yellow onions are more in demand than red onions for the time being. Red onions are in good supply, with demand steady but not as robust as yellows. California is shipping new crop onions with good quality.
Growers in Idaho and the Columbia Basin experienced a cool and rainy spring that transitioned into a hot summer, with many days of triple digits. Growers in the Columbia Basin expect to start a new cropĀ of onions in limited amounts at the beginning of August. Idaho growers will begin bringing their new cropĀ to market in mid-August, and more supplies will be available.
Inflation Impacts on Higher Income vs. Lower Income Shoppers
- Lower income households are more likely overall to adjust their grocery shopping habits in response to inflation while higher income households had a higher response rate for buying more bulk items and not changing their shopping habits.
- Switching retailers is a less common behavior overall to help combat inflation, but more prevalent across lower income households.Ā
- Most households in both higher and lover income groups reported similar rates of cutting back in areas besides groceries (such as clothing, recreation, entertainment) with 60% of lower income and 54% of higher income.
